How it all began

“I knew it was her little white dog”

— Dominic

“Are you that guy I met on the top of the mountain the other day?”

— Hannah

They call it Divine providence that special day on June 20, 2023 when their paths crossed on Sangre de Cristo lookout and again on July 1, 2023 when they ran into another on Aspen Vista Trail. He recognized her white pup, Tuni, and after a few seconds Hannah wondered if that was the guy she met 11 days ago randomly at the lookout. This was the case, and Divine providence had collided their paths once again.

What started out as friendship, kind help with Hannah’s family estate, and the occasional hike turned into a story of love, faith, family, and ultimately led them to commitment and engagement.

Between Hannah’s time back in Florida, Dominic’s life schedule and juggling two kiddos, they each continued to come back to one another with the same story: “wow, no matter the life happenings, I really love having you alongside me.” Their connections went way beyond their passion for the outdoors and exploring God’s beautiful creation. They were able to see how the Lord had woven a beautiful tapestry of connection, cherishing one another, and seeing the goodness of God in both of their lives in the midst of a committed relationship.

After almost 2 years of commitment to each other, Dominic made it official by asking Hannah to marry him on the cliffs of El Malpais in Grants, NM. Again, on another adventure.

They are extremely excited for the adventure of marriage ahead. Although, they know all adventures come with ups and downs, they trust fully for Jesus to be their guiding light, source of strength, and ultimately their greatest Love.
